…says the agency is here to revitalize land administration in Gombe

The Director General of Gombe Geographic Information System (GOGIS), Dr Kabiru Usman Hassan has led some members of his agency to meet with the leadership of Gombe Traders Association.

The Director General on a working visit engaged the union leaders to discuss on the activities of his agency. He said he was in the association secretariat for a familiarization and enlightenment on what the agency’s does and also to inform the members of the association the benefit of having their lands and shops to be recertified by the government.

He said, “GOGIS is a government agency which saddled with the mandate to revitalize land administration in Gombe. However, the present administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is poised to give land administration new shape in the state.”

While decrying the deplorable conditions of the old land administration in the state, he informed the union leaders that the present administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is determined to render 21st century land administration in the state.

He further sought for their support and cooperation as well as urged them to take advantage of the new land administration, as the services provides many benefits for the land owners.

In this remarks, the Chairman of Gombe Traders Association, Alh Sanusi Abdullahi (Mai Radio) thanked the Director General for finding time to visit them purposely in order to enlighten them on the activities of Gombe Geographic Information Systems.

The chairman pledged his members unalloyed support to the new agency and the policies of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya led administration. He also vowed to convey the message to other members across all the local governments of the state.

The chairman on behalf of his members used the occasion to thanked the Governor for his exemplary leadership and commitment to effectively serve the good people of Gombe state.
