Nigeria’s Garko Wins International Essay Writing Competition

Author of When Day Breaks and a multifaceted, award-winning writer Adamu Usman Garko, from Gombe State, Nigeria, has emerged the second Winner of this year’s edition of APPLIED WORLDWIDE Student Essay Writing Competition.

APPLIED WORLDWIDE is a US based project founded by Stephanie Wilson and Luke Hanna with the aim of building a bridge between the discipline of sociology and everyday life to improve the well-being of society. Applied Worldwide collaborates with sociologists and the public to build and distribute three types of multi-media content.

In an effort to encourage students all over the world, they kick-started the Student Essay Writing Competition with the aim of encouraging students cultivate interest in the field and help foster the change they are out to effect.
